Experiment for better results

Why do you think we know so much about the world as we do today?

Scientists have tested different theories and successfully verified or falsified them.

We have learned to follow the same kind of structure in modern companies. We make minor improvements and test many ideas on a small scale to ensure we only invest a little money into something that could succeed or fail.

Making minor improvements as you work is the agile way of working.

In marketing, we do this all the time. We do A/B testing to see if advertisement A or B has the best results.

We try different types of advertisements to get you to buy our product.

Entrepreneurs have always known this mindset. Entrepreneurs know they must try many different things before an idea succeeds.

Teams that perform great know this. The team trusts that the members dare to speak their minds and put forward different ideas, however stupid they sound, without being afraid that they lose their face for the other team members.

To dare test your ideas out loud in a team is psychological safety, which is the foundation of high-performing teams.

How do you do your work? Are you always playing safe, or do you dare to test out your ideas? Make minor adjustments to test if it gives better results.

How do you live? Are you always in your comfort zone, or do you look at your life like a research project where the results are to live close to your values?

You may ask if it Isn't exhausting constantly to try to improve. Can't you just be happy with what is?

You should be happy, even grateful, with what is but still test out new things, small changes that may have the chance to be something good. If you make this your way of living and doing business, it will in time, be effortless.

It will strengthen your mental toughness, make you and your business more resilient and give better results.

What will be your next experiment?
