Terms & Conditions

COACHING SERVICES AGREEMENT

This Coaching Services Agreement (the "Agreement") is made between The Island Coach, an entity registered in Åland, Finland (Business ID 2664087-4), represented by Johanna Karlström, member of the International Coaching Community (the "Coach"), and the individual or entity agreeing to these terms online (the "Client"), collectively referred to as the "Parties."

By agreeing to this document online, the Client acknowledges acceptance of the terms set forth below.

1. Services and Purpose

The Coach agrees to provide personalized coaching services to the Client, focusing on enhancing team performance by equipping the Client with the knowledge, tools, and strategies needed to foster effective leadership and collaboration within their business.

The Coach will provide support, guidance, and resources to empower the Client to lead their team effectively. However, the Client acknowledges that the ultimate responsibility for implementing the strategies and achieving results lies with them.

The Program includes:

  • Weekly 60-minute coaching sessions.

  • Pre-recorded lessons.

  • Assignments to support progress between sessions.

  • Ongoing support and feedback between sessions via Slack, used for communication and file sharing.

  • Feedback Journal provided by the Scandinavian Leadership School (Unestål Education).

  • Mental training audio files.

2. Commencement of Agreement

This Agreement becomes effective only when:

  1. The Coach formally accepts the Client into the Program, and

  2. The full program fee is paid by the Client in accordance with Clause 5.

No coaching services will commence until both conditions are satisfied.

3. Coaching Procedure and Schedule

Coaching sessions will be scheduled at times mutually agreed upon by the Coach and the Client. Sessions are conducted via Zoom unless otherwise agreed.

The sessions will be booked using the Coach's Calendly system. Sessions can be rescheduled up to 24 hours before the scheduled time. Any sessions not completed within the agreed timeframe will be forfeited.

The Coach will make every effort to provide actionable insights and tailored advice during the Program. However, the Client acknowledges that success depends on their commitment to applying the strategies and completing the assignments.

4. Materials and Resources

The Client will have access to exclusive mental training materials and resources provided by the Coach to support their leadership development. Additionally, the Client will have access to the Digital Course on the Island Coach website, which provides lessons on implementing the ISLAND Framework, a weekly exercise, and the feedback journal. These materials are for the Client’s personal use during the Program and may not be shared, distributed, or copied.

5. Fees and Payment

The fee for the Program is $2,500 USD (exclusive of VAT).

Upon online acceptance of this Agreement, the Coach will issue an invoice or payment link. The full payment is due within seven (7) days of invoice issuance and must be completed before the first session. The fee is non-refundable, except in cases where the Agreement is terminated as outlined in Clause 8.

6. Confidentiality

The Coach agrees to keep all conversations and information with the Client confidential, except as required by law or with the Client’s explicit consent. The Coach adheres to the ethical guidelines of the International Coaching Community.

7. Intellectual Property

Any materials provided during coaching sessions, including worksheets, handouts, and digital resources, are proprietary and provided to the Client for limited personal use.

8. Termination

Either Party may terminate this Agreement if the other Party commits a material breach of its terms and fails to remedy the breach within fifteen (15) days of written notice.

If the Agreement is terminated due to the Coach’s failure to perform services as agreed, a refund will be issued for any sessions not yet conducted.

9. Indemnification

The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Coach from any claims, losses, or damages arising from the Client’s use of coaching services.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Coach shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages arising out of this Agreement or the services provided.

11. Settlement of Disputes and Governing Law

Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall be resolved amicably through mutual discussions. If unresolved within thirty (30) days, the dispute will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Stockholm District Court, Sweden. This Agreement is governed by Swedish law, excluding its conflict of law principles. Proceedings will be conducted in English.

13. Miscellaneous

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the Parties and supersedes all prior agreements. Any amendments must be made in writing and agreed upon by both Parties.
